Today I had my first prenatal visit. After having an ultrasound and hearing the heartbeat, this pregnancy is finally really real to me! I am still completely amazed at watching the ultrasound and the sound of the heartbeat, even in my sixth pregnancy.
The baby is a very active baby! We saw him/her waving his/her arms all around and kicking like crazy. At one point he/she stretched out completely straight. I am in for some pretty strong and frequent kicks when I can start feeling them!
Another thing we learned during the ultrasound is that my due date isn’t September 25th, but September 17th instead. I thought I was going to be 10 weeks tomorrow, but it turns out that I am 11 weeks today. I am almost finished with my first trimester!! Woo-hoo! I hope this fatigue and morning sickness ends with the second trimester.
