Relay For Life

Last night was the Relay for Life, a fundraiser event for the American Cancer Society. The event was from 7:00 pm until 7:00 am. We didn't stay the entire time, but everyone seemed to have a good time. Sean and I were the first to go home around 9:30 (although Sean didn't fall asleep until after 11:00). Around midnight Chris brought Matthew home. The rest of the family came home at 3:30. Here are some pictures of our night:

Hannah and her friend, Emily, before the event started.

Survivors walking the first lap around the track.

Cancer survivors releasing their balloons.

Sean with his friend John.

The two pictures above are a bit blurry, but that was during the candle lighting ceremony.

The last set of pictures are of the "Potty People" and the travels of the purple potty. From January to April, several people from our team would secretly put a purple potty in someone's front yard. The people would leave a donation in the tank and leave a note stating where they wanted the potty placed next. The group was revealed last night. At the Relay for Life they had a board up with pictures people took of themselves with the potty.

On the backs of their t-shirts it says "Potty Person". Rebeckah was mortified that her dad was a "Potty Person"! LOL Chris is the one in the back wearing a baseball cap.
